Circa 1887 Virgin Timber End / Side Table 0262 0263

The Virgin Timber End / Side is built from lumber that was salvaged from the Old Globe Granary Elevators in the port city of Superior, Wisconsin. This massive agricultural storage structure was built in 1885-1887 using old growth (virgin timber) eastern white pine and could hold 5 million bushels of grain before it was shipped eastward.

This historic table is built from one of the last know caches of virgin timber lumber still known to exist. The handsome, simple design speaks of both he ruggedness and functional needs of those days when the Industrial Revolution collided with the American Frontier.

This item is part of our larger Granary Collection. and can be used as either a bedroom nightstand or as part of the occasional table group. This table can be ordered with either a lower cross brace (as shown) or with a lower shelf.

NOTE: End tables have a minimum order requirement of 2 pieces unless ordered in combination with another table from this set.
